  2. Pacific Oaks College is not too far from were I live here in the Inland Empire (California). I enjoyed listening to Ms. Derman-Sparks she reminds me of my very first child development instructor. And the book quote from Alice Walker was great. Ms. Walker has an older child's book called: Finding the Green Stone~lovely book!

  3. Isn't it wonderful to have all these resources to call upon ???
A down side to having all these resources is parents rely on the professionals to 'fix' their child(ren)'s problems/issues more so than searching out the information for themselves. It is my opinion professionals should encourage and empower parents to search and seek information for themselves and thus empowering them with some of the same resources that the pro's rely on . Of course the professionals should offer support and assistance in the search. Nice Job !

Now this looks like an interesting read! I believe I'll be going to the library to check it out. Thanks for the resource.
